Do you have Head Chef experience within banqueting, contract catering or a similar high-volume catering environment?

We are looking for an experienced Head Chef to join a large secondary school in the Harrogate area to cover a period of maternity leave.

You will be providing a varied, seasonal and multicultural lunch service for around 1,200 pupils per day using fresh produce by:

Leading and mentoring your team of kitchen porters, kitchen assistants, servers, bakers and chefs
Preparing, cooking and serving high-quality food
Working with the chef team to produce seasonal menus
Providing training as required
Maintaining food safety and hygiene standards
Monitoring and ensuring compliance with all relevant legislation
Accurate and effective stock control and ordering
Liaising with members of the school's management team
Overseeing the day-to-day catering and cooking operation

As the Head Chef you will have previous managerial experience in a high-volume catering environment and be able to run the kitchen in a positive and professional manner.

This would be an ideal role for someone who has worked as a Kitchen Manager, Head Chef or Executive Chef within conference and banqueting, contract catering, education catering or a similar catering environment and is looking for a Monday to Friday role.
