Our client,a calm and peaceful 25 bedded Care home is looking for a passionate, hard-working Head Chef to join the team. The role offers a salary of £25,500 per annum for 40 hours a week with a 7:00 am start. The ideal candidate will be dedicated to creating nutritious and delicious meals for the residents and have strong leadership skills to manage the kitchen team.

What We’re Looking For

• Proven experience as a Head Chef, particularly in a care home or similar environment

• Certification in food safety and kitchen management

• Strong knowledge of nutrition and dietary requirements, especially for elderly residents

• Excellent leadership and communication skills

• Ability to work well under pressure and handle multiple tasks efficiently

Responsibilities

• Creating and executing menus to meet the dietary and nutritional needs of the residents

• Overseeing kitchen operations, including food preparation, cooking, and serving

• Managing inventory, orders, and budget to maintain cost-effectiveness

• Training and supervising kitchen staff to ensure high-quality food production and service

• Adhering to health and safety regulations and maintaining kitchen cleanliness
