Head clinical governance manager

Job Title: Head of Clinical Governance manager
Location: Essex (covering several care homes across the area)
Salary: £80,000 - £90,000
Contract: Full-time, permanent
Sector: Health & Social Care

We're looking for a Head of Clinical Governance to oversee the quality and safety of care across a few nursing and residential homes in and around Essex. This is a hands-on leadership role where you'll work closely with care teams and managers to make sure we're delivering the best possible care and meeting all regulatory requirements.

• Leading clinical governance and quality standards across multiple homes.

• Making sure we comply with CQC regulations and safeguarding rules.

• Developing and updating policies, carrying out audits, and managing risks.

• Supporting and mentoring care home managers and clinical teams.

• Working alongside commissioners, healthcare professionals, and other partners.

• Promoting a person-centred approach to care that puts residents' safety and dignity first.

• Overseeing staff training and clinical supervision.

• Traveling between homes across Essex and the surrounding area.

• Solid experience in clinical governance or quality assurance in health or social care.

• Experience managing or supporting multiple care homes is a big plus.

• Registered Nurse or similar clinical qualification preferred.

• Strong knowledge of CQC standards and safeguarding.

• Great leadership and communication skills.

• Comfortable traveling regularly between sites.

• Practical, hands-on approach with a real passion for quality care.

You'll be a key part of the senior leadership team, helping shape the clinical standards and culture across several homes. This role involves regular travel around Essex and nearby areas.
