Position Overview

Seeking an exceptional Head Coach to lead this international sports academy and drive the development of young athletes in a multicultural, residential environment. This role offers the unique opportunity to shape the next generation of global talent while working in Scotland’s vibrant sporting landscape.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead and coordinate daily training programs for international students across multiple sports disciplines
  
• Develop and implement comprehensive coaching strategies aligned with a holistic development philosophy
  
• Manage and mentor a team of qualified coaches
  
• Foster a positive, inclusive environment for students from diverse cultural backgrounds
  
• Collaborate with education partners to ensure smooth integration of academic and athletic programs
  
• Oversee student welfare and personal development within a residential setting
  
• Maintain relationships with partner clubs and facilitate student placements
  
• Support recruitment and marketing initiatives
  
• Ensure compliance with Scottish FA standards and academy accreditations
  

Essential Requirements:

• UEFA coaching qualification (minimum A or B licence; Pro licence preferred)
  
• At least 5 years coaching experience with young adult athletes (ages 17 -23)
  
• Proven leadership and team management skills
  
• Strong communication skills and cultural sensitivity
  
• Experience in residential or academy environments
  
• Commitment to holistic player development beyond athletic performance
  
• Flexibility to work in a dynamic, international environment
  

Desirable Requirements:

• Multilingual skills (French highly valued)
  
• Experience with international student programs
  
• Background in sports education or dual -career athlete development
  
• Knowledge of UK visa and education systems
  
• Previous academy or professional club experience
