HEAD HOUSEKEEPER
Location: Chelsea & Belgravia, London

Salary: £65,000â£70,000 (flexible for an exceptional candidate)

Overview
We are seeking a highly polished, experienced Head Housekeeper to lead and manage the housekeeping function across an UHNW familyâs residences in Chelsea and Belgravia (1 office + 4 homes, all within short walking distance).
This role requires proven experience managing a housekeeping team within UHNW or very high\-end private households. The successful candidate will establish standards, oversee all operational details, and develop a structured, high\-performing team.
Key Responsibilities
Leadership & Team Management
⢠Directly manage, supervise and support a team of housekeepers across multiple properties
⢠Recruit, onboard and train new team members as needed
⢠Provide ongoing coaching, skills development and performance reviews
⢠Conduct quality\-control inspections and implement improvements
⢠Maintain consistency of standards, presentation and work methods
⢠Address performance issues discreetly, professionally and promptly
⢠Foster a structured, positive and efficient working culture
Operational Oversight
⢠Oversee all housekeeping operations across the property portfolio
⢠Ensure immaculate standards in all rooms and high\-value areas
⢠Implement and update SOPs, manuals, checklists and workflows
⢠Oversee correct handling of antiques, artwork, luxury finishes and specialist materials
⢠Manage laundry operations, garment care, wardrobe organisation and seasonal rotations
⢠Liaise with the Family Office to coordinate maintenance and contractor visits
Scheduling & Administration
⢠Build and manage rotas for the housekeeping team, ensuring full coverage
⢠Plan holidays, TOIL, and shift changes efficiently
⢠Ensure rotas are released two weeks in advance
⢠Maintain accurate logs, inventories, ordering lists and shift handovers
⢠Manage stock levels, supplies and household budgets
⢠Provide clear communication to the Family Office and PA
Hands\-On Housekeeping & Service
⢠Step in hands\-on when necessary, leading by example
⢠Support deep cleans, turn\-downs, guest preparations and household resets
⢠Oversee table settings, informal service and occasional event setups
Professional Conduct
⢠Uphold complete discretion and confidentiality (strict NDA required)
⢠Present a calm, polished and professional image at all times
⢠Maintain clear, respectful communication with the team and senior staff
Schedule & Working Pattern
⢠5 days per week, up to 45 hours
⢠Early and late shifts (7amâ3pm or 2pmâ10pm)
⢠Weekend rotation required
⢠Two consecutive days off (may be midweek during weekend rotation)
⢠Ubers provided for late shifts or transfers
⢠All properties located close together
