Job Title: Head of Access and Accountancy
Location: Weston-super-Mare
Salary: £45,000 – £51,000 per annum
Hours: Full-time (37 hours per week, All Year Round)

We are currently recruiting for a Head of Area to lead the Access to HE and Adult Professional provision within a forward-thinking and dynamic Department of Professional Studies, which also includes Animal Sciences and Protective Services.

This role will oversee a range of Access to HE and Adult Professional Courses, including Higher-Level Adult Learning and Apprenticeship Programmes, such as CIPD, AAT, and similar qualifications.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead, manage, and support curriculum delivery across the Access and Accountancy areas
• Oversee quality assurance in line with the Education Inspection Framework (EIF) and awarding body requirements
• Work collaboratively with employers and partners to enhance current provision and develop new pathways
• Drive team performance, professional development, and innovation within the department

Required Skills & Qualifications:

• Level 4 Teaching Qualification
• Strong knowledge of EIF and awarding organisation regulations
• Proven experience working with external stakeholders to expand educational offerings
• Effective leadership and team management skills
