As Head of Building Technologies, you'll provide strategic and operational leadership across the Plumbing, Construction and Brickwork curriculum, driving quality, innovation and continuous improvement while ensuring learners receive an outstanding educational experience.

The Role
Reporting into senior leadership, you'll be responsible for leading the Building Technologies department and ensuring the highest standards of teaching, learning and student achievement.
Your responsibilities will include:
Leading, managing and developing curriculum staff across Plumbing, Construction and Brickwork Working closely with senior leaders to shape and develop the curriculum offer Managing curriculum planning, staffing, timetabling and resources Driving improvements in teaching, learning and assessment through coaching and performance management Monitoring curriculum performance, learner outcomes and quality indicators Managing departmental budgets effectively Supporting employer engagement, marketing activities and student recruitment events Delivering approximately three hours of teaching each week Representing the organisation at internal and external events, including occasional evening and weekend commitments Promoting a culture of innovation, collaboration and continuous improvement
About You

A relevant teaching qualification and vocational specialism within Building Technologies Significant experience of delivering high-quality teaching within Further Education Proven leadership experience, with the ability to motivate, develop and inspire teams Experience leading curriculum quality, student progress, assessment and Internal Quality Assurance (IQA) Strong analytical skills with the ability to use data to drive improvement Excellent communication, organisational and stakeholder management skills A collaborative leadership style and genuine commitment to learner successPlease apply now and take the next step in your teaching career!
