An established and growing compliance consultancy is seeking a Head of Building Testing to lead their specialist testing division. This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced building tester looking to take the next step in their career.

The Role

The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing the delivery of air tightness, extract, and smoke testing services while supporting and mentoring a growing testing team. There will also be a key focus on developing new service lines, including sound testing and thermography, with full support and training provided.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead and manage the building testing team across a variety of projects
• Conduct air permeability, extract, and smoke testing on domestic and commercial developments
• Support and develop additional service areas, particularly sound insulation testing and thermographic surveys
• Ensure testing is carried out to industry standards and accreditation requirements
• Maintain strong client relationships and provide excellent customer service
• Assist with training junior testers and help grow the team

Candidate Requirements:

• Minimum 2 years' experience in building testing with relevant accreditation (e.g., ATTMA, iATS, etc.)
• Proficiency in air tightness and extract testing
• Experience across both domestic and commercial projects preferred
• Strong communication, analytical, and organisational skills
• Comfortable in client-facing roles
• IT literate and confident using testing software and reporting tools
• Full, clean UK driving licence
• A friendly, flexible, and motivated approach to work
