Tradewind are working in partnership with a secondary school in Cheshunt, searching for a charismatic, energetic and engaging Head of Business Studies and IT to lead and inspire their department!

This is more than just a Teaching role - it's a leadership role in a school that believes in the value education provides in shaping lives beyond the classroom and influencing the school community and wider ethos!

Role:

Lead and manage a dedicated Business and IT department delivering engaging lessons across KS3-KS5

Inspire students with a positive and upbeat attitude to learning and development

Organise, develop and manage the extra-curricular sporting schedule

Develop both curriculum's to sustain and increase participation and performance

Collaborate with senior leaders to promote physical well-being as part of the wider school ethos

Be a positive sporting role model to staff and students alike

What makes a great Head of Business and IT

Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) and a background in Business OR IT / Computer Science / ICT

Previous experience in a leadership role or an ambitious teacher ready to step into Head of Department role

A commitment to high performance, inclusivity, and sporting values

Outstanding organisational, leadership and communication skills

A track record of inspiring young people through sport and physical activity
