Hertfordshire | £80,000 - £100,000 per annum

Are you a strategic and compassionate leader ready to make a meaningful difference in children's lives? We're seeking a dynamic Head of Children's Services to provide visionary leadership across a portfolio of Ofsted-registered children's homes in Hertfordshire and surrounding. These homes offer specialist, 24-hour residential care for children and young people with emotional or behavioural challenges and/or learning difficulties, autism, and complex needs. You'll play a pivotal role in ensuring that every child receives exceptional care, support, and opportunities to thrive.

Requirements:

• A proven track record of senior leadership in children's residential care, ideally within multi-site services.
• In-depth knowledge of Ofsted frameworks, safeguarding legislation, and the Children's Homes Regulations 2015.
• The confidence and skill to lead multidisciplinary teams, drive change, and inspire a high-performance culture.
• Excellent communication and relationship-building abilities to engage with families, professionals, regulators, and staff.
• A values-led approach, aligned with the ethos and mission of our organisation.
• A relevant leadership qualification, such as a Level 5 Diploma in Leadership for Health & Social Care (Children and Young People) or equivalent.

Responsibilities will include:

• Lead strategically and shape the vision for children's care services and contribute to long-term organisational strategy and development.
• Drive quality and embed high-quality practices, robust quality assurance systems, and a culture of continual improvement.
• Champion safeguarding, ensure safety and wellbeing are at the heart of everything we do, with a relentless focus on compliance and best practice.
• Work closely with Education, Therapy, Clinical, HR, and Estates teams to provide fully integrated care aligned with EHCPs and individual needs.
• Support and develop the senior leadership team and registered managers to build leadership strength, confidence, and capacity.
