Morgan McKinley is proud to be working in partnership with a growing retailer to recruit a Head of Commercial Finance. Reporting into the Financial Director, this is an exceptional opportunity to take ownership and control of commercial finance.

In this highly commercial role, you will build strong relationships across the business, lead the budgeting & forecasting, long-term planning cycles and deliver a "first class" business partnering facility.

Role

Working in partnership with Senior Leadership Team you will ensure the business is able to make the right financial decisions to support the continuous growth of the business.

Responsibilities for the Head of Commercial Finance will include:

• Lead a team of finance business partners to provide commercial support and challenge to the business on key drivers
• Present clear information to the Senior Leadership Team to identify areas of improvement
• Lead and continually improve the budgeting for forecasting cycles
• Build a strong understanding of the commercial drivers behind business performance
• Business Partner with cost centres on overheads

Profile

• It is essential the candidate is a Qualified Accountant (ACA / ACCA / CIMA)
• Strong communication skills - able to push back AND able to support stakeholders
• Proven experience within commercial finance
• Strong ERP and Excel skills
• Able to work within tight deadlines
• Results orientated, with a desire to succeed

Salary & benefits

The role of Head of Commercial Finance has a salary of £85,000 - £95,000 plus bonus and other benefits.
