Head of Commercial Finance

The Role:

The role of Head of Commercial Finance is focusing on driving performance and providing strategic financial support. The role involves leading a team in a matrix model of senior business partners, management accountants, and performance specialists while supporting profitable business growth and transformation initiatives.

Quest Search & Selection is currently recruiting for a premier supply chain solutions company. They offer tailored and reliable solutions for businesses of all sizes and industries. The business operates in 20 counties and ensure seamless service and efficient flow of goods.

Responsibilities of this Head of Commercial Finance Role:

1. Develop strong relationships with senior business leaders to influence financial decision-making.
2. Working closely with the CFO, responsible for ensuring accurate financial reporting, offering insightful analysis, and business plans to enhance financial performance.
3. Provide financial insights, forecasts, and analysis to support business planning and execution.
4. Lead business analysis activities, ensuring high-quality reporting and strategic recommendations.
5. Oversee the production of accurate and timely financial reports, management accounts, and performance metrics at both route and company levels.
6. Manage the Business Partner team to drive growth, cost efficiency, and business transformation.
7. Support and lead business change initiatives with structured financial oversight.
8. Foster a culture of continuous improvement and ensure alignment with company values.

To be successful in this Head of Commercial Finance:

1. Ideally having 8-9 years' experience with commercial finance
2. Experience within a supply chain or logistics business or another FMCG business will be desirable.
3. You must have large, blue chip experience, ideally operating in a business of £300 million Euros and above globally.
4. Must be operating at head of or director level.
5. Having an extension stake holder management experience
6. Strong proficiency in financial systems, with advanced analytical, modelling, and presentation capabilities.
7. Ideally having Education / Qualifications: ACA, CIMA, or ACCA qualification
8. Familiarity with Power BI or similar data visualization tools.
