This is a hands-on role, with autonomy and decision-making ability plus opportunity to partner with key business areas to promote growth and strong financial performance.

Working alongside an experienced FD, the Head of Commercial Finance will have exposure to important business areas and budget holders as they look to maximise growth over the coming months.

Description

Reporting into the Finance Director, the Head of Commercial Finance will play a critical role in driving financial performance and commercial outcomes. The role blends financial modelling, forecasting, and stakeholder engagement, with a particular focus on high-spending functions. You'll be responsible for delivering proactive financial support and identifying areas for growth, cost efficiency, and performance improvement.

Additional responsibilities include:

Planning & Forecasting

• Lead the development and ownership of forecasting models across the P&L, cash flow, and balance sheet - ensuring outputs are robust, up-to-date, and support strategic planning.
• Deliver scenario modelling and sensitivity analysis to help assess financial risks and opportunities.

Strategic Finance & Business Support

• Act as the finance lead for commercial marketing spend, providing regular performance updates, insight-led commentary, and supporting campaign planning.
• Partner with core business areas, offering monthly analysis and financial oversight to aid planning and optimisation.
• Collaborate with senior leaders to identify ways to unlock growth and improve operational efficiency.

Insights & Performance Reporting

• Build and manage financial and operational dashboards that enable real-time visibility of key metrics for senior leadership and the board.
• Ensure reporting provides meaningful insights that support strategic decision-making, not just financial compliance.

Profile

For this Head of Commercial Finance role, we're looking for someone who thrives in a fast-paced, digital-led environment and wants to make a real difference through finance that goes beyond reporting - helping shape business strategy and execution.

Additional requirements include:

• Qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent).
• Proven experience in a fast paced commercial finance role.
• Excellent analytical and data interpretation skills. Able to identify patterns, spot opportunities, and communicate insight clearly.
• Strong stakeholder engagement and communication skills, with the ability to challenge constructively and influence at a senior level.
• Demonstrated ability to work under pressure and manage multiple priorities effectively.
• Experience with digital or performance marketing-led businesses and an understanding of paid marketing spend, including PPC and ROI measurement
• Interest in and awareness of how AI and automation can be applied to finance processes and insight generation.

Job Offer
