Head of Commercial Finance

We have an exciting opportunity within our boohooMAN brand for a Head of Finance; a high-impact leadership role at the heart of a fast-paced, trend-driven retail business.

We’re looking for an energetic, commercially driven finance leader who thrives in a rapid-fire trading environment. This role is not just about reporting numbers; it’s about owning the story behind the trade, influencing decisions in real time, and driving performance across the business.

You’ll already be operating in a dynamic retail or e-commerce environment, deeply embedded in trading, and confident in making decisions at pace.

This is a highly visible and influential role, partnering closely with the Brand CEO and senior leaders across Trading, Product and Marketing to drive growth, maximise profitability and react quickly to ever-changing market conditions.

You’ll lead financial performance end-to-end, combining strong control with forward-looking, real-time commercial insight, acting as a true partner to the business and helping unlock opportunities across own-brand, marketplace and category growth.

What you’ll be doing

Commercial leadership & performance

• Own the brand P&L, driving performance in a fast-moving, high-volume trading environment
• Act as a key partner to the Brand CEO and leadership team — influencing decisions at pace
• Challenge and shape performance through real-time financial insight
• Identify risks and opportunities quickly, turning insight into action

Trading & insight

• Work hand-in-hand with Trading, Product and Marketing to stay close to live trade performance
• Deliver daily and weekly reporting, enabling rapid decision-making
• Translate data into clear, actionable insights that directly impact trading outcomes
• Partner with BI and Analytics teams to deepen understanding of customer, product and channel performance

Strategy & planning

• Lead budgeting, forecasting and long-term planning in a constantly evolving environment
• Support and shape brand strategy, presenting to senior stakeholders and Group Board
• Evaluate growth opportunities across own-brand, beauty and marketplace channels

Cost & cash management

• Maintain tight control of costs while enabling commercial agility
• Partner with Group Finance on headcount, supply chain and operational spend
• Build strong ownership of working capital, stock flow and cash impact in a fast-turn retail model

Reporting & governance

• Ensure accurate, aligned and timely reporting across trading and finance
• Drive improvements in automation, data quality and reporting speed
• Maintain strong financial controls without slowing down the business

Group collaboration

• Contribute to the wider Group Finance agenda, sharing insight and best practice
• Support cross-brand initiatives and strategic projects

About you

Essential experience & skills

• Fully qualified (ACA, CIMA or ACCA) with significant finance experience
• Strong background in retail, e-commerce or other fast-paced consumer environments
• Proven experience working closely with trading teams and influencing commercial decisions
• Deep understanding of financial control, reporting and performance analysis
• Strong systems capability (BI tools, reporting automation, finance systems)
• Advanced Excel skills and highly analytical mindset
