Job DescriptionHEAD OF COMMUNITY MARKETING VENTURE CAPITAL FIRMBASED LONDON – HYBRID WORKINGFantastic opportunity to join our client, a highly successful Venture Capital firm, which supports entrepreneurs, scale ups as well as small to medium sized businesses in their business growth, in a newly created role as HEAD OF COMMUNITY MARKETING. You’ll be a creative marketer with a passion for stakeholder engagement and a proven track record in building communities in the scale up / entrepreneur community. Reporting into the Head of Marketing & Communications, you will be responsible for developing and executing strategic marketing initiatives aimed at engaging and nurturing our community of entrepreneurs, intermediaries, industry partners and stakeholders. By focusing on building a strong, active community around brand, you will spearhead activities and campaigns that help the firm identify, connect with, and support businesses seeking growth capital, ultimately helping to drive advocacy, referrals and new business opportunities. Key ResponsibilitiesProgramme Development: Develop programmes to encourage and bring together community interaction, collaboration, and advocacy, and boost brand awareness and referrals. Manage and maintain the engagement and advocacy programs, developing content and events that resonate with the community. Event Programming: Support the Marketing Associate in planning and executing events, both virtual and in-person events, to facilitate networking, knowledge sharing, and relationship building within the community. Community Engagement Strategies: Work with internal stakeholders across the business including the firm’s direct origination and value creation teams to support the development and deployment of regional and national engagement strategies.Community Champion: be a face of the community, whether online or at physical events, and evangelise about what the community can do to create value from our stakeholder audiences. Support Brand Building, Awareness and Advocacy: Work closely within the marketing team to ensure consistent messaging and branding across all community marketing initiatives. Continuously monitor market trends and competitor activities to identify opportunities for differentiation of the community strategy.Research: establish a framework for getting feedback from the community, using these insights to improve the community.Metrics and Reporting: Establish key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure the effectiveness of community marketing initiatives. Regularly analyse data and provide insights to optimize strategies and drive continuous improvement. Experience requiredProven experience in community marketing gained within the startup/scaleup ecosystem eg.from the VC or PE worldUnderstanding the needs of entrepreneurs and scaleup businesses, with experience of building communities in this space.Experience of creating a community strategy from the ground up.Excellent communication skills, with the ability to craft compelling narratives and engage diverse audiences through various channels.Experience in event planning and execution, from small-scale gatherings to large conferences.Interested?
