About the Candidate

We are looking for a qualified solicitor with previous experience managing a busy case load and experience across mainstream corporate matters. The successful candidate will be dealing with clients, commercially aware and manage their own caseload. You will be an excellent communicator with strong planning or organisational skills, a high level of integrity and proactiveness. You will also be willing to take a positive approach and active role in business development and expand into new areas of work.

About the Role

As the Head of Corporate, you will be responsible for maintaining high levels of service to existing clients, while contributing to the continued development of the corporate department in line with the company’s marketing policy. You will take part in a range of transactional and non-contentious corporate work, such as mergers, acquisitions and buyouts, corporate restructures and setups, corporate governance, franchise acquisition, sale and development, distribution agreements, intellectual property, shareholder, director and investor rights, corporate finance and data protection. You will produce fee income in line with agreed targets and objectives, maintain and enhance legal skills and ensure effective financial control. You will also be expected to perform fee-earning work accurately, reliably and in accordance with the company’s quality and risk procedures. The role will involve working with the departments marketing policy to promote and enhance the reputation and business of the company, as well as developing and nurturing relationships with key clients.

Hours- 9:00 am-17:15 pm, Monday- Friday, 36.25 hours per week

Location- Flexible

Salary- Depending on experience

Skills and Attributes

-Qualified Solicitor

-Previous experience managing caseloads

-Experience across mainstream corporate, construction law, charity law, and consumer law

-Good computer literacy

-Knowledge of case management systems

- Understanding of AML Regulations and Solicitors Account Rules

-Communication skills

-Good planning and organisation skills

-Ability to nurture and create relationships with clients

-Desire to provide high-quality service

-Work well under pressure and to deadlines

-Presentation and Public speaking skills
