The Role:
The successful candidate will lead a dedicated History department, shaping an engaging and ambitious curriculum that inspires students across all key stages. You’ll be responsible for raising standards, supporting staff development, and contributing to whole-school initiatives.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide strategic and day-to-day leadership of the History department

• Ensure high-quality teaching and learning throughout the subject

• Oversee curriculum planning, assessment, and progress tracking

• Foster a love of History through creative teaching and enrichment opportunities

Ideal Candidate:

• A qualified teacher with QTS and a strong track record in delivering outstanding History lessons

• Previous experience in a leadership role or ready to take the next step

• A strong understanding of curriculum design, pedagogy, and assessment

• A team player with excellent communication and interpersonal skills
