We are seeking a passionate and visionary Director of Learning (Mathematics) to lead our Mathematics Department and drive forward our mission of academic excellence and holistic development.

To contribute to the development of a strong, effective school by promoting outstanding teaching and learning in Mathematics, while nurturing a culture of high expectations, collaboration, and continuous improvement.

• Lead the strategic development of the Mathematics Department, setting clear annual targets and using performance data to drive improvement.
• Inspire and support staff through coaching, mentoring, and professional development.
• Embed innovative teaching strategies and assessment tools to raise student achievement.
• Oversee curriculum development and ensure alignment with national standards and school values.
• Plan and deliver intervention and enrichment programmes to support all learners.
• Foster strong partnerships with parents and the wider community to enhance student learning.
• Line manage departmental staff, ensuring high standards of teaching, behaviour, and outcomes.
• Monitor and evaluate teaching quality and student progress, using data to inform practice.
• Manage departmental resources, budgets, and health and safety in line with school policies.

• A strong track record of outstanding teaching and leadership in Mathematics.
• Experience in curriculum development and raising attainment across key stages.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
• A commitment to the values and ethos of an Islamic faith-based school.
• The ability to inspire, challenge, and support colleagues and students alike.
