Head of Developer Relations

The Starknet Foundation is a non-profit organization established to support the development of Starknet, a state-of-the-art layer 2 blockchain network built on top of Ethereum. Our mission is to unlock Ethereum’s scalability and efficiency, making decentralized applications more accessible and effective. We are seeking an experienced Developer Relations leader from a blockchain or web3 background to expand & oversee our community engagement, dev marketing, and dev relations efforts globally. The ideal candidate will be deeply familiar with the ecosystem, passionate about developer advocacy, and a demonstrated people Leader who can elevate and motivate a strong existing team. This role requires strong technical acumen, ideally in the Starknet ecosystem, with excellent communication skills, and the ability to manage relationships across a diverse set of stakeholders.

Responsibilities:

• Team Leadership: build & lead a globally dispersed team, create & measure against priorities and KPIs, provide remote support and performance management, and optimize workflows and processes in order to align around & deliver against broader org initiatives and goals.

• Technical Advocacy & Training: Advocate for the developer community by creating technical content and resources to help them effectively use and integrate the network's products and services. Provide direct training, support and interaction with developers via forums, Base Camps, and Hacker Houses.

• Bridge Builder: Act as a liaison between developers and the internal engineering teams, conveying feedback, identifying pain points, and facilitating communication to improve the developer experience.

• Community Engagement: Cultivate and nurture relationships within the developer community through online forums, social media, conferences, and meetups, fostering a strong network and knowledge-sharing environment.

• Code Collaboration: Collaborate with developers to provide guidance, best practices, and troubleshooting assistance, ensuring they have the necessary tools and support to succeed with the company's technologies.

• Product Improvement: Influence product development by gathering insights from developers, translating their needs into actionable feedback, and advocating for features and enhancements that align with developer requirements and trends.

• Developer Marketing: drive awareness, reach & acquire new developers through top-of-funnel marketing activities including social media marketing, events, field marketing, content production and sponsorships.

Requirements:

• Demonstrated expertise in leading and managing globally-distributed Dev Rel teams in the blockchain/web3 space.

• Track record of successfully building and optimizing Dev Rel processes, understanding growth drivers, and measuring success.

• Strong leadership abilities with direct experience building & managing high performance teams.

• Expertise building & executing dev marketing initiatives aimed at awareness & acquisition.

• Exceptional strategic thinking and problem-solving skills.

• Strong project management and organizational abilities.

•Ability to work collaboratively and build relationships with internal and external stakeholders.

• Technical background with deep understanding of blockchain - ideally ZK - technology.

• Preferred: familiarity with and passion for Starknet protocol & ecosystem.
