Are you an ambitious Employment Solicitor ready to take the next step in your legal career? We are seeking a talented Associate-Level Employment Solicitor to head up and grow our Employment Law department based in Peterborough. This is a standout opportunity for a driven legal professional with partnership aspirations, looking to shape the future of a dynamic and expanding team.


About the Role
Heading up the Employment Department, you will play a pivotal role in delivering high-quality legal advice to a diverse client base across both the private and public sectors. You will manage a varied caseload, represent clients in employment tribunal litigation and contribute to the strategic development of the department. This role is ideal for someone with a strong network of professional contacts and a passion for business development.


Key Responsibilities

· Advise and represent clients on all aspects of employment law, including contracts, disciplinary matters, redundancies and TUPE

· Manage the full lifecycle of employment tribunal cases, from instruction to advocacy and resolution

· Mentor and support junior team members, fostering a culture of collaboration and continuous learning

· Drive the growth of the department through client relationship management and networking

· Contribute to firm-wide initiatives and support cross-departmental collaboration

Skills & Experience

· Qualified Solicitor with a strong background in employment law

· Proven experience advising both employers and employees

· Excellent drafting, negotiation and advocacy skills

· Strong communication skills with the ability to explain complex legal issues clearly

· Commercially aware, personable and confident in building long-term client relationships

· Demonstrated ability to network and develop new business opportunities

· Highly organised, deadline-driven and committed to ongoing professional development
