An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Head of Engineering to join a growing and forward-thinking manufacturing business following significant multi-million-pound investment and expansion.
This is a hands-on leadership role where you will take full responsibility for the engineering function, leading a skilled team while providing both strategic direction and practical support on the shop floor. You will play a key role in driving engineering excellence, developing your team, improving equipment reliability, and supporting the continued growth of a fast-paced manufacturing operation.
You will lead engineering projects, implement best practices, oversee both preventative and reactive maintenance strategies, and work closely with senior leadership to ensure engineering performance supports wider business objectives. This role would suit an experienced engineering leader who enjoys combining technical expertise with strong people management.

Non-Negotiable Requirements of the Head of Engineering
Previous experience leading an engineering department within a manufacturing environment. Strong electrical and mechanical engineering knowledge. Proven leadership experience managing engineering teams. Experience driving continuous improvement and engineering best practices. Minimum Level 3 Engineering qualification (or equivalent).
Desirable Requirements for the Head of Engineering
Previous experience within FMCG and process manufacturing Experience leading engineering projects and capital investment programmes. Knowledge of high-speed industrial manufacturing eqipment Strong understanding of preventative maintenance systems and engineering compliance.
