Key Responsibilities:

• Provide strategic leadership and vision for the English department.


• Develop and implement an engaging and challenging English curriculum.


• Lead and manage a team of dedicated English teachers.


• Monitor and evaluate student progress, implementing strategies to ensure high attainment.


• Lead on departmental CPD and ensure the delivery of high-quality teaching and learning.

Qualifications & Experience:

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.


• Degree in English or a related subject.


• Proven leadership experience in a secondary school setting.


• Excellent subject knowledge and understanding of the English curriculum.


• Strong communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.
