Job Description - Head of ETF Solutions (EMEA)

As we further expand our Exchange Traded Funds (ETFs) business outside of the US, we are focused on innovation, client education, and providing high-quality investment solutions that reflect our active management heritage.

Following the success and steady expansion of our ETF offerings in the US, the firm is now scoping the potential to launch European listed active ETFs in the middle of 2026. T. Rowe Price launched active ETFs in the US in 2020 and now has now $21 billion across 30 strategies.

Role Summary

The Head of ETF Solutions (EMEA) is a senior leader within the Exchange Traded Fund (ETF) Group at T. Rowe Price. This role, based in London, will be critical in launching and growing the firm’s European-domiciled active ETF business.

This is the first of a series of specialist EMEA ETF hires and is responsible for building and leading a team dedicated to ETF education and training, promoting T. Rowe Price’s ETF capabilities to investors, and collaborating across business units to advance strategic ETF initiatives across Europe. A primary focus will be partnering with distribution sales associates to position T. Rowe Price’s ETF offerings and representing the ETF business in both internal and external forums throughout the region. As Active ETFs are a new and rapidly growing offering for T. Rowe Price, this position will play a pivotal role in shaping the firm’s Active ETF narrative in Europe, integrating ETFs into distribution strategies, and establishing T. Rowe Price as a trusted provider of Active ETFs. Success in this role requires strong leadership, strategic vision, and deep expertise in ETFs.

Key Responsibilities

  • Strategic Leadership

    • Develop and execute a comprehensive ETF education and engagement strategy for internal and external audiences.

    • Build and lead a team of ETF Specialists that will partner with sales associates to serve as subject matter experts (SMEs) on ETFs and promote T. Rowe Price ETF capabilities with investors in EMEA

    • Build and lead a team of ETF specialists focused on training, education, and client engagement in EMEA.

    • Establish KPIs and success metrics for ETF education initiatives.

    • Oversee the development and scaling of ETF Solutions, including team buildout and the creation of an ETF Capital Markets function.

  • Internal Education & Integration

    • Partner with distribution leadership to integrate ETFs into the firm’s overall distribution strategy.

    • Lead training programs for sales teams, advisors, and internal stakeholders on ETF structure, mechanics, and T. Rowe Price’s ETF value proposition.

    • Serve as the primary liaison between the ETF team and distribution forums.

  • External Engagement

    • Act as ETF SME to support distribution teams in delivering impactful client engagement across various investor sales segments. Primary focus will be Germany, Italy and the UK.

    • Serve as the spokesperson for T. Rowe Price Active ETFs, driving brand visibility through media channels.

    • Represent T. Rowe Price at industry conferences and client events as a subject-matter expert on ETFs and capital markets

    • Maintain key relationships with liquidity providers, exchanges, and other key 3rd party vendor relationships.

  • Content & Narrative Development

    • Collaborate with marketing, investment, performance and product teams to craft a consistent ETF narrative, talking points, and educational content.

    • Ensure alignment of ETF messaging across all client touchpoints.

  • Cross-Functional Collaboration

    • Develop tools and analytics for client utilization (pre-trade, post-trade).

    • Communicate client feedback and ETF-related insights to product, marketing, and investment teams.

    • Partner across the organisation to deliver against our EMEA ETF strategy and bring relevant US initiatives and engagement tools to the region to successfully launch in EMEA. Work as part of a global US ETF specialist team

Qualifications

  • MBA or CFA preferred.

  • 10+ years of experience in ETFs, asset management, or capital markets.

  • Proven ability to build new capabilities and lead teams in an entrepreneurial environment.

  • Deep understanding of ETF ecosystem, market structure, and competing investment vehicles.

  • Exceptional communication and presentation skills.

  • Strong organizational and relationship management skills.

  • Ability to operate independently and drive results.

  • Language skills would be preferred but not essential for the role. Primary focus will be Germany, and then Italy and UK.
