Head of Facilities

Our client is looking to fill a permanent job for a Head of Facilities to work at a venue facility near Dulwich, London.

The Head of Facilities  job role is 28hr pw, Monday-Saturday (flexible hours).

Salary up to £35k pa.

Job Duties

• The Head of Facilities job role will involve the overall management of facilities and maintenance of the venue.
  


• Implementation of PPM program & life cycle requirements for building and equipment.
  


• Manage facility services such as office management, security, cleaning, catering, waste disposal, snow removal, lawn care and parking.
  


• Advise on and monitor energy efficiency and onsite renewable power generation, build on the environmental policy, and carry out environmentally sustainable initiatives.
  


• Ensure security of the venue, maintenance of access control and security procedures.
  


• Establish and maintain policies and procedures for a safe environment and ensure compliance with safety policies, licensing requirements, occupancy loads, fire regulations and Occupational Health and Safety Act.
  


• Manage annual department budgets.
  


• Manage all maintenance and capital improvement projects
  


• The Head of Facilities will line manage Operations Assistant, Café Team, Duty Managers, casual Front of House team, and volunteers.
  


• Overall responsibility for the regular implementation of training, appraisal and staff development programmes.
  


• Providing leadership, training and mentorship to staff for continuous improvement in operations, maintenance, security, health and safety, and other areas as required
   
  

Job Requirements

Ideal candidates will have similar job experience, being flexible with working hours due to the nature of this role to work outside of normal hours in line with the company’s needs.

The successful candidate will be expected to apply for an enhanced DBS check or hold a

valid DBS certificate granted in the past 18 months. 

Preferably have certification in Fire Marshal, Personal Licence and Safeguarding Level 3.

The Head of Facilities job is based near to East Dulwich station, London SE22 8EF.
