Interim Head of FM - South East London/Hybrid | £696.55 per day Umbrella

A South East London Local Authority is recruiting an experienced Interim Head of FM & Capital Projects to lead and direct the strategic delivery and internal governance of Facilities Management (FM) across the Council and its partner services.

Key Responsibilities

Lead the strategic management and governance of FM services across the Council and partner organisations.
Oversee FM operations, contract management, procurement arrangements and building-related services.
Lead energy-related FM initiatives and projects supporting net-zero carbon targets, including lifecycle repairs, upgrades and energy efficiency improvements.
Oversee the management, inspection and maintenance of the Council’s property assets, ensuring compliance with all relevant legislation and regulatory requirements.
Develop and implement effective FM arrangements across Council premises and buildings occupied by staff and partners.
Procure and manage specialist contractors and service providers where required.
Provide strategic leadership across FM and capital project activities, ensuring effective delivery, governance and value for money.
About You

We are looking for an experienced Interim Head of Facilities Management with:

Proven senior-level FM leadership experience, ideally within local government.
Strong knowledge of facilities, property asset management, contract management and procurement.
Experience delivering FM, energy efficiency and capital/lifecycle improvement projects.
A degree in Facilities Management or a related discipline.
CIWFM or equivalent professional accreditation.
A recognised project management qualification such as PRINCE2
