Are you an experienced Family Solicitor looking to take the next step in your leadership journey?

We're working in partnership with a Legal 500 firm based in Leamington Spa to recruit a Head of Family Law to lead and develop a thriving department. This is a fantastic opportunity to shape the future of a busy Legal Aid practice, combining hands-on legal work with departmental strategy and leadership.

Role:
- Providing strong, supportive leadership to a dedicated Family Law team
- Overseeing departmental compliance, risk, and financial performance, including budgeting and KPI reporting
- Ensuring AML and SARs compliance and keeping the team up to date with regulatory changes
- Supervising and developing staff, including training and performance reviews
- Representing the department in senior leadership meetings
- You'll also manage your own caseload, focusing on complex financial remedy and private law children matters, maintaining a high standard of client care, and continuing to grow the department's profile and reputation.

Ideal Candidate:
- At least 5 years' PQE in Family Law, including experience in complex cases
- Membership of an accredited Legal Aid supervision panel (Family Law, Family Law Advanced, Children's Panel or Resolution Specialist)
- A track record of effective team leadership and financial oversight
- Strong knowledge of compliance, AML regulations, and SRA rules
- Excellent communication, organisation and people management skills
- A Solicitor/Mediator qualification is desirable, but not essential.
