Head of Farrowing Department

Due to retirement, we have an exciting new job opportunity for a Head of Farrowing Department on a farm in Devon EX22.

The successful candidate will be a highly motivated individual with a proven ability to deliver consistent results. They will join an established farming company with a well-invested and large modern pig enterprise.

The candidate will be predominantly responsible for the daily welfare and care of both sows and piglets in the farrowing department and other departments.

Applicants must meet the following criteria:

• Ability to manage the day-to-day running of the department
• Ensure that the welfare of the animals is met at all times
• Be self-motivated to achieve continuous high-performance targets and improvements
• Bring strong leadership qualities as part of a dedicated team
• Be willing to contribute towards continual improvement through new ideas and developments

There is excellent potential for progression with opportunities in other departments, and ongoing training will be given if required.

Salary: £30,000 - £40,000 doe

Hours: 7 am - 4 pm working every other weekend.
