Head of Fashion Design- Dubai UAE

1. Strategy & Collection Planning

• Conduct in-depth market research to identify emerging trends, fabrics, and techniques.

• Lead seasonal concept development with the design team, including theme and mood board creation aligned with brand identity.

• Ensure all designs support the commercial and creative direction of the business.

• Oversee the full design process from initial concept through to final styling and presentation.

2. Collection Development

• Prepare a complete seasonal collection of 30-50 design options based on the approved color palette, fabrics, and trends.

• Ensure collections cover full looks across all categories.

• Review and refine collections collaboratively with senior designers before submitting to executive leadership for final approval.

• Create pre-designs and detailed tech packs (CADs, measurements, materials) to guide production.

3. Merchandising & Product Coordination

• Maintain strong relationships with current suppliers and actively seek out new sourcing opportunities.

• Coordinate with suppliers directly or via the fashion merchandising team on sampling and production timelines.

• Provide clear and detailed technical specifications and line sheets to ensure smooth sample development.

• Manage fitting sessions and provide actionable feedback to ensure samples meet design and quality standards.

• Negotiate with suppliers to secure optimal pricing and quality for each piece.

4. Studio Oversight

• Supervise campaign and studio shoots to ensure accurate visual representation of the collection—especially for key marketing or celebrity campaigns.

• Work closely with stylists to ensure cohesive outfit styling and proper accessory matching.

5. Leadership & Team Development

• Lead and mentor a team of designers, ensuring they are supported, trained, and motivated.

• Conduct regular performance evaluations and provide guidance for professional growth.
