Head of Finance

Head of Finance - Permanent - On-site - Wednesbury - £80,000 - £90,000 per annum
An established UK manufacturing business is seeking a Head of Finance to join its senior leadership team. This is a key strategic role offering the opportunity to shape financial direction, strengthen internal controls, and drive improvement through a new ERP system. Perfect for a commercially aware finance leader with strong operational grounding and ERP experience.

• Full-Time, Permanent
• Salary: £80,000 to £90,000 per annum

Key responsibilities of the Head of Finance:

• Lead the review and optimisation of a new ERP system
• Manage and develop a small finance team, fostering growth and high performance
• Produce monthly management reports and year-end financial statements
• Coordinate budgeting, forecasting, and cash flow management
• Monitor and report on key variances, driving corrective actions where needed
• Oversee audit preparation, tax packs, and regulatory compliance
• Take ownership of financial risk, credit control, and insurance-related matters
• Supervise stock audits and ensure accurate reporting and analysis

Key qualifications and experience required:

• Qualified accountant (ACA or ACCA)
• Proven track record in financial control, reporting, and systems management
• Previous involvement in ERP implementation within a manufacturing setting is highly desirable
• Confident influencing senior stakeholders and contributing to strategic discussions
