Head of Finance

About the Business

An opportunity to be Head of Finance for a software business based in Oxford. This is a truly great opportunity to become part of a reputable business that has offices globally.

Main Duties:

As Head of Finance, your main duties include:

• Act as a key executive partner to the Sales, R&D, and Operations departments.
• Prepare and present financial and operational reports to the Board.
• Lead and oversee the development of the finance functions across the group.
• Establish and refine financial reporting and regulatory compliance to meet the expectations of external partners, such as banks, while driving and managing ongoing operational performance.
• Supervise budget planning, forecasting, and monthly operational reporting for EMEA.
• Oversee the year-end audit process for EMEA as part of the global audit and consolidation, coordinating with external financial advisors.
• Play a pivotal role in M&A activities by providing financial modelling and integration support.
• Develop and implement global policies and procedures.
• Manage local treasury operations and cash flow.
• Handle tax obligations, including statutory reporting.
• Ensure financial operations comply with legal and regulatory requirements across all territories.

Location / Office / Culture

This role is hybrid working, typically with 3 days in the offices in Oxford and 2 days from home.

What We Are Looking For

The ideal candidate will have:

• ACA/ACCA/CIMA Qualified
• Experience in a software industry is not required, those from all industries are welcome to apply
• Experience in Senior finance management and leadership roles
• Experience in a fast paced and changing environment
