About the Role

I am looking for a strategic Head of Financial Accounting to lead the team in a high-impact leadership role with real autonomy and visibility across the business.

As a qualified accountant, you’ll take ownership of the financial and property/capital accounting, ensuring the delivery of accurate, insightful financial information for both management and statutory purposes.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and inspire the Financial Accounting team
• Oversee monthly financial reporting, balance sheet management, and statutory cashflow compliance (IAS 17 & IFRS 16)
• Manage full-year reporting and IFRS 16 disclosures
• Own weekly cash flow forecasting and variance analysis
• Lead budgeting and forecasting processes, identifying opportunities for improvement
• Drive enhancements to financial systems and processes
• Ensure robust financial controls and manage audit processes
• Support financial planning for new business initiatives

About You

You’ll need:

• ACA/ACCA/CIMA (or equivalent)
• Strong leadership and team management skills
• Deep understanding of IFRS 16, IFRS, and UK GAAP
• Proven ability to improve financial processes and systems
• Advanced data analysis and interpretation skills
• Confidence engaging with senior stakeholders and Board members
