Head of Finance

Are you a commercially driven qualified Head of Finance looking to drive transformation across a high growth organisation?

A widely known company based in Colchester are looking for a Head of Finance to work alongside the senior leadership to help facilitate growth, identify financial strategy and evolve the accounting function.

As a Head of Finance you will:

• Support business growth through sound financial systems, modelling, and risk management.
• Collaborate with senior leadership on strategy, planning, and funding for new initiatives.
• Lead budgeting, forecasting, payroll sign-off, and preparation of annual accounts.
• Present financial updates and recommendations to the Board and Committees.
• Manage internal controls, audits, and compliance with financial regulations.
• Provide management accounts, KPIs, and cash flow reports to inform decision-making.
• Oversee pensions, insurance, and investment strategies.
• Develop and lead a high-performing finance team.
• Act as Company Secretary and ensure all regulatory returns are submitted on time.

As a Head of Finance you will get:

• Salary of £60,000 - £65,000
• Hybrid Working 2/3 days on-site

As a Head of Finance you will need:

• ACCA, CIMA or ACA qualified accountant with 5+ years in senior finance roles.
• Strong leadership, strategic, and financial modelling skills.
• Proficient in finance systems and people management.
