We're hiring a Head of Commercial Finance to join a national brand in the building materials and distribution sector. If you thrive on business partnering, influencing strategy, and leading high-performing finance teams this could be your next move.

Role Overview:

As Head of Commercial Finance, you'll partner with Category Directors to provide key financial insight and challenge decisions to drive profitability. You'll lead a team of 10 finance professionals covering Category Finance and External Contract Support (ECS), supporting £multi-million portfolios and delivering proactive commercial finance leadership.

Key Responsibilities:

Act as a senior business partner to Category Directors and their teams.

Lead and develop a team of Finance Business Partners and ECS analysts.

Drive rebate forecasting and identify margin opportunities and risks.

Support pricing decisions, supplier deal modelling and investment analysis.

Deliver SKU and branch-level net margin analysis and insight.

Present monthly finance updates and strategic recommendations.

Improve processes, streamline reporting, and embed best practice.

What You'll Need:

CIMA, ACCA or ACA qualified (CIMA preferred), with 3+ years PQE.

Strong background in commercial finance, FP&A or business partnering.

Previous experience managing a team.

High level of Excel and confidence with BI/MI tools.

Commercially savvy with excellent stakeholder engagement skills.

Able to work at pace and prioritise multiple workstreams.
