The business has gone from strength to strength with a clear focus on customer satisfaction and an unflinching commitment to excel in the provision of logistics solutions. Led by an experienced and knowledgeable management team, the business is looking to the next phase of profitable growth and development The appointment is a key in the broader succession planning required for future proofing. The operating companies within the group employ c200 personnel with a turnover of c£25m.

Reporting to the Finance Director, a new Head of Finance is to be appointed and will be responsible for the finance management infrastructure, business systems and the teams under them as part of an enthusiastic and energetic leadership team.

If you have a strong work ethic, operate openly and with integrity, thrive on being hands-on as well as managing and coordinating diverse functions and want the opportunity to contribute both strategically and operationally to ensure the long-term success of an established organisation, this is the role for you.

• Qualified Accountant 3 plus years post qualified
• Previous experience in a non-retail SME environment is preferred.
• Strong Excel knowledge is essential.
• Managerial and leadership experience.
• Commercially focused, technically strong, hands-on, insightful and inspiring, with the ability to operate at both strategic & operational levels, contributing to an ongoing profitable enterprise.
• Excellent interpersonal skills, resilient and professional to thereby be able to build effective relationships at all levels.
• Clear evidence of a customer-centric approach, internal and external, as a key driver in the achievement of results in a relentless manner to ensure the optimum outcomes are achieved.
