Head of Financial Control

I'm partnering exclusively with a thriving, high-growth business to appoint a commercially astute Head of Financial Control. This is a critical leadership hire that will play a central role in supporting the business through continued expansion, investment, and transformation.

This is a hands-on role for someone who loves the technical side of finance but also thrives when leading, mentoring, and improving systems.

You'll take the lead on financial reporting, controls, audit readiness, and compliance while overseeing a growing team. Alongside that, you'll drive process improvements, integrate new acquisitions, and embed smarter, scalable ways of working.

• Ownership of all monthly and annual financial reporting, ensuring IFRS/UK GAAP compliance

• Audit management - main point of contact for external auditors

• Oversight of all internal controls, governance, and risk frameworks

• Leading systems improvements and finance transformation initiatives

• Supporting M&A integration and aligning new businesses with group standards

• Mentoring and developing a high-performing finance team

• Delivering insightful reporting and analysis to guide senior leadership decisions

• Qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA) with strong technical knowledge

• Experience preparing statutory accounts and leading audits

• Proven track record of process improvement and systems implementation

• A confident leader who builds trust and empowers teams

• High attention to detail with a proactive, commercially aware mindset

• Strong communicator who can operate comfortably at board level
