• Lead the Food Technology department, maintaining high standards of teaching and fostering a positive learning environment.
• Enhance the academic achievements and enrich the experiences of students in Food Technology.
• Play a significant role in curriculum planning as the school expands and the subject area continues to flourish.
• Support the daily work of the department, including managing the subject in the curriculum, implementing policy decisions, and organising appropriate lessons.
• Secure continuous improvement in teaching, learning, and departmental management to achieve high standards of student achievement.

• Qualified teacher status and a degree or equivalent.
• Proven leadership skills with the ability to manage and inspire a team towards common goals.
• Strong decision-making skills and the ability to solve problems effectively.
• Excellent communication skills, both oral and written.
• A thorough understanding of the National Curriculum, particularly in Food Technology.
• Experience in classroom teaching with evidence of successful outcomes.
• Ability to work under pressure, meet deadlines, and maintain a balance and perspective.
