About the Role
GTS Transportation is working on behalf of a well-established client in the transport and logistics sector to appoint an Interim Head of Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A).
This is a senior-level interim role supporting the business through a period of strategic change, including a planned exit process. The successful candidate will play a crucial part in shaping financial performance and preparing the organisation for this significant transition.
Key Responsibilities

Lead all FP&A activities including forecasting, budgeting, and performance analysis
Collaborate with the CFO and executive team to drive commercial insight and strategic planning
Develop and maintain financial models to support exit strategy milestones
Contribute to due diligence and support external stakeholder communications
Deliver high-quality, data-driven analysis to inform business decisions

Candidate Profile

Significant experience in senior FP&A roles, ideally within dynamic or PE-backed environments
Strong track record of involvement in exit processes, M&A, or business sale transactions
Commercially focused with strong influencing and stakeholder management skills
Qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent)
Comfortable with hybrid working and able to be on-site in Birmingham as needed

Contract Details

Rate: £600-£800 per day (negotiable, outside IR35)
Duration: Until February 2026
