Head of Freight Forwarding European Road Logistics

As Country Manager, you'll be responsible for overseeing all UK operations, building and leading a high-performing team, and ensuring the profitable growth of freight forwarding services across Europe. You'll play a key role in client engagement, commercial strategy, compliance, and operational excellence.

• Lead, manage, and grow the UK office, with a strong focus on European road freight operations.

• Drive business development with a focus on high-value engineering clients and strategic partnerships.

• Ensure end-to-end operational efficiency, from quoting and planning to delivery and client communication.

• Maintain and exceed industry standards for secure and compliant transportation of high-value goods.

• Build and manage relationships with clients, carriers, and agents across Europe.

• Develop and execute the UK commercial strategy in alignment with company goals.

• Monitor financial performance and report on KPIs, budgets, and P&L.

• Proven leadership experience in freight forwarding or logistics (5+ years), ideally with European road transport.

• Strong understanding of handling high-value or sensitive goods (e.g., engineering, aerospace, or industrial equipment).

• Commercially savvy with a track record of growing business and leading teams.

• Excellent knowledge of UK and European transport regulations.

• Strong communication and negotiation skills.

• A self-starter with the ability to work both strategically and hands-on.
