Head of Health & Safety – Manufacturing – West Drayton – £90,000 - £110,00 + 7.5K Car Allowance, Bonus, Healthcare and wider Package

Principal People are delighted to be working exclusively with a leading international organisation to recruit a Head of Health & Safety.

This is an outstanding opportunity for an experienced Health and Safety leader to take ownership of the Health and Safety strategy, governance and standards across a large EMEA operational footprint.

The successful candidate will provide strategic and technical Health and Safety leadership across multiple operational sites, working closely with senior operational leaders to drive legal compliance, reduce risk and embed a proactive safety culture.

This is a highly influential regional role with responsibility for setting standards, driving consistency and leading continual improvement across manufacturing and engineering environments.

The key duties include:

Developing and delivering the regional Health and Safety strategy across EMEA Operations, aligning business priorities, legislation and material risk with measurable improvement plans.
Leading the regional Health and Safety management system, ensuring strong governance, audit discipline, corrective action closure and consistent standards across all sites.
Providing senior technical expertise and guidance on complex Health and Safety matters, challenging and advising site leadership teams on risk, compliance and safe operating practices.
Influencing senior operational leaders to embed clear accountability for Health and Safety performance within day-to-day management and business decision-making.
Developing and analysing Health and Safety KPIs, providing senior leadership with clear insight into risk trends, compliance gaps and performance.
Establishing a consistent regional approach to competence, mandatory training and behavioural safety, ensuring programmes are risk-based and measurable.
Building regional Health and Safety capability through coaching, sharing best practice and strengthening accountability across site leadership teams.

We would love to see CVs from people who have:

A NEBOSH Diploma or equivalent Health and Safety qualification.
Extensive Health and Safety leadership experience within a multi-site operations, manufacturing or engineering environment.
Strong knowledge of Health and Safety legislation, ISO 45001, risk management, audit frameworks and management system governance.
Proven experience developing regional Health and Safety standards, policies and risk-based improvement plans.
Proven ability to influence, challenge and engage senior operational leaders and stakeholders
