Location: North London (with travel across London & the South) Job Type: Full-Time Salary: Competitive + Package (DOE)The Company Our client is an established building services contractor delivering high-quality projects across London and the South. They primarily specialise within Precision Drilling, Groundworks and Structural Solutions. With a growing portfolio of work and multiple live projects, they are looking to appoint an experienced Head of HSEQ to lead and develop their Health, Safety, Environmental and Quality function. This is an excellent opportunity to join a business where you will play a key role in shaping company standards, ensuring compliance and driving a positive safety culture across the organisation.
The Role Reporting directly to senior leadership, you will be responsible for overseeing all HSEQ activities across approximately five live projects, ensuring best practice is maintained throughout the business.
Key Responsibilities
Lead the company's Health, Safety, Environmental and Quality strategy. Develop, implement and continuously improve HSEQ policies and procedures. Carry out regular site inspections and audits across London and the South. Ensure compliance with UK health & safety legislation and industry standards. Investigate incidents, identify root causes and implement corrective actions. Produce reports, KPIs and performance data for senior management. Manage external audits and accreditation processes including ISO standards. Deliver training, toolbox talks and support site teams. Promote a proactive safety culture throughout the business. Liaise with clients, contractors and regulatory bodies on all HSEQ matters.Requirements
Proven experience as a Senior HSEQ Manager or Head of HSEQ within the construction or building services sector. Strong knowledge of UK Health & Safety legislation. ISO 9001/14001/45001 Knowledge Experience within Groundworks/RC/Demolition/Diamond Drilling/Steel Erection/Structural Alterations NEBOSH Diploma (or equivalent) preferred. Chartered IOSH membership or working towards chartership is advantageous. Experience managing multiple live construction projects. Excellent communication and leadership skills. Full UK Driving Licence.What's on Offer
