If so, we want you to join the Academics Supply Agency team as the Head of IT Department at one of the most exciting secondary schools in the region!

About the Role:

As the Head of IT, you will take on a pivotal leadership role, overseeing all aspects of the school's technology infrastructure and IT curriculum. You'll be responsible for shaping the future of IT across the school, ensuring students are equipped with the digital skills they need to thrive in the modern world.

You will lead a team of dedicated IT staff, manage the school's hardware and software resources, and work closely with staff to integrate technology into the teaching and learning experience.

• Oversee and lead the development of the school's IT strategy and vision
• Manage the IT infrastructure, including hardware, software, and networking systems
• Lead and develop the IT department, ensuring high standards of service and support
• Collaborate with teaching staff to integrate technology effectively into the curriculum
• Ensure the security and privacy of school data, and manage the school's cyber security measures
• Provide training and support for staff and students in the use of IT systems
• Maintain and improve the school's Learning Management System (LMS)
• Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of IT systems and suggest improvements
• Stay current with trends in educational technology and implement innovative solutions

We're looking for a passionate and innovative individual with the following:

• Proven experience in an IT leadership role, ideally in a school or educational setting
• Strong technical skills in IT infrastructure management, software applications, and networks
• Leadership skills with the ability to inspire and manage a team effectively
• A clear vision for how technology can enhance learning and school management
• Excellent communication skills to work closely with staff, students, and parents
• A commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of students
• A relevant degree in IT, Computer Science, or a related field (or equivalent professional experience)
