Job Title: Head of IT
Location: Birmingham (Hybrid)
Salary: Up to £75k

We are currently looking fort a Head of IT for a leading Managed Service Provider (MSP) in the Birmingham area. This client specialises in delivering top-notch IT solutions and support to a diverse client base. As a rapidly growing company, they are seeking a talented individual to lead their IT department and constantly improve systems using the Microsoft Tech Stack.

As the Head of IT, you will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of IT operations, including infrastructure management, systems administration, and technical support. You will lead a team of skilled professionals to deliver high-quality IT services to our clients while ensuring operational excellence and customer satisfaction.

Responsibilities:
Lead and manage the IT department, including recruitment, training, and performance management of staff.
Develop and implement IT strategies and policies to support the company's objectives and growth plans.
Oversee the design, implementation, and maintenance of IT infrastructure using the Microsoft Tech Stack, including Azure, Office 365, Windows Server, and SQL Server.
Provide technical guidance and support to resolve complex issues and ensure the reliability and security of systems.
Collaborate with other departments to identify IT requirements and develop solutions that meet business needs.

Requirements:
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
Proven experience in a leadership role within an MSP environment, with a strong understanding of ITIL best practices.
Extensive experience with the Microsoft Tech Stack, including Azure, Office 365, Windows Server, and SQL Server.
Solid understanding of networking, security, and cloud technologies.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact effectively with clients and stakeholders.
Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to make strategic decisions to drive business success.
Relevant certifications such as MCSE, MCSA, or ITIL are highly desirable.

Location:

This position is based in Birmingham, with occasional travel to client sites as required.
