They are now seeking a strategic and hands-on Head of IT to lead their evolving digital environment.
Your New RoleAs Head of IT, you'll take ownership of the IT function across multiple UK and international sites. You'll work closely with a trusted MSP and internal teams to deliver secure, high-performance infrastructure that supports cutting-edge research and engineering.
Key responsibilities include:

• Leading IT operations including infrastructure, cybersecurity, software procurement, and strategic planning
• Championing cybersecurity and data protection, ensuring compliance with standards like Cyber Essentials Plus
• Influencing software procurement decisions across ERP, CAD, Simulation, HR, and more
• Collaborating with R&D and tech leaders to support IT-driven innovation
• Managing budgets, evaluating service delivery, and presenting to senior leadership
• Travelling internationally, including to the US, to support IT integration across global operations

What You'll Need to SucceedYou'll bring a strong background in IT leadership and infrastructure management, ideally within fast-paced technical environments. You'll be a collaborative problem-solver with a passion for enabling business growth through smart IT solutions.
Key skills and experience:

• Proven experience managing IT strategy, systems, and vendors
• Engineering background
• Strong understanding of cybersecurity frameworks and certifications
• Hands-on approach to stakeholder engagement and cross-functional collaboration
• Experience managing complex projects and leading IT teams
• Excellent communication and influencing skills
• UK driving licence
• Experience working with MSPs (desirable)
• Graduate from Red Brick University

Salary & Location

• £65,000 - £75,000 (DOE)
• Hybrid working based in Abingdon or Yarnton, easily accessible via the A34
