One of our leading clients is looking to recruit a Head of Legal / Legal Manager / Legal Counsel / General Council.

Location - Hybrid - London / Remote

Permanent role

Salary: £80,000 - 120,000

You will be responsible for setting up / heading up and growing the legal function in the UK for a fast moving software company providing advice on commercial contracts, regulatory compliance, corporate governance, employment law, and data protection. This will be a combined role of General Counsel and also have the responsibilities of Company Secretary.

Experience:

• Qualified solicitor in England & Wales with at least 2 years PQE
• Strong generalist legal background
• Understanding of UK corporate governance and company secretarial responsibilities for a public company
• Experience drafting and negotiating commercial agreements

This role may suit someone coming straight out of a legal practice / top 20 UK firm who is looking to work for an end client / fast moving Tech company or someone who is already working for an end client looking for an opportunity to own and grow a legal function.
