Job Description - Head of London Family Team

Family Law Partner – Head of London Team
London City

I am working with a leading law firm that is seeking a Family Law Partner and Head of their Family Team to play a pivotal role in developing and shaping their London City practice. This is an outstanding opportunity for an experienced family law professional to step into a leadership role and make a genuine impact.

The Role:

Lead and inspire a growing team of family law specialists, fostering collaboration and cohesion.
Work closely with the Head of Family Department to deliver on strategic and financial objectives.
Develop and leverage your London network to bring high-quality work into the team.
Manage a broad caseload of family law matters, including divorce, financial settlements, child arrangements, cohabitation disputes, and prenuptial agreements.
Provide expert advice to HNW/UHNW clients, delivering tailored, client-focused solutions.
Supervise, mentor and support junior team members.
Drive business development initiatives through networking and relationship building.
Maintain strong organisation and case management practices.
Stay up to date with developments in family law and apply this knowledge to client matters.

The Candidate:

Significant experience in family law, particularly in financial settlements and child arrangements.
Excellent interpersonal and client-handling skills with the ability to build long-term relationships.
Proven ability to independently manage a busy, varied caseload.
Commercially astute with a track record in business development.
Strong IT skills and a proactive, solution-focused mindset.
Leadership or supervisory experience, with the ability to inspire and develop others.
