Head of Manufacturing

Elevation Recruitment Group are working with an innovative and forward-thinking manufacturer to recruit a Head of Manufacturing to lead operations at their site in Leeds.

Salary: c£75k + package

The Head of Manufacturing will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of manufacturing including production, purchasing, distribution, and supply chain and will play a crucial role in driving efficiency, improving quality, and strengthening a culture of continuous improvement across the facility.

Working closely with the Board of Directors and senior leadership team, the Head of Manufacturing will develop and implement strategies that support growth, sustainability, and world-class manufacturing standards.

Responsibilities of the Head of Manufacturing:

• Lead, manage and develop the manufacturing team
• Devise and control operational budgets
• Develop and execute robust manufacturing strategies aligned with business goals
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives to reduce waste, rework, and carbon footprint
• Prepare commercial proposals relating to Capex investment

We’re keen to speak to experienced Heads of Manufacturing or senior operations professionals with the following profile:

• Ideally degree qualified
• Proven leadership experience in a senior manufacturing role, preferably within a highly regulated industry
• A strong track record of managing high-performing teams in an Engineering or Manufacturing production environment
• Expertise in Lean Manufacturing and/or Six Sigma methodologies
• Commercial and financial acumen
• Excellent communication, organisational and interpersonal skills
