Head of Market Risk IT - .NET

An international bank is a dynamic, technically capable, and strategically minded leader to head their Market Risk & Market Data IT division. This role is central to designing and delivering in-house systems that power the enterprise market risk analytics.

Key Responsibilities:

• Strategic Leadership of technology solutions in Market Risk and Market Data

• Oversee in-house development (primarily in .NET, some Java) of risk analytics systems

• Ensure data accuracy and model integrity across risk platforms

• Collaborate with Risk, Finance, and Operations on enterprise-wide initiatives

• Lead a team including tech leads, BAs, and developers

• Drive continuous improvement and innovation

• Own project prioritization, budget management, and vendor interaction

• Ensure compliance with regulatory and internal standards

• 10+ years' experience in Financial Markets IT, with hands-on Market Risk exposure

• Proven experience in leading technical teams and delivering IT strategy

• Skilled in .NET, with familiarity in Java and ideally Murex

• Deep understanding of market risk metrics and data aggregation

• Ability to toggle between high-level strategic thinking and technical detail

• Demonstrates ownership, problem-solving ability, and curiosity

• Excellent communicator-comfortable with both engineers and executives

• Energetic, ambitious, curious
