Job Description - Head of Marketing

Do you have experience in EdTech, Marketplace platforms and/or Membership organisations? (Essential)

Can you lead, develop and inspire a Marketing team with proven experience in a Head of capacity?

Are you an expert at building content strategies to drive engagement and boost brand growth?

Do you enjoy being in a start-up/scale-up environment?

My client is seeking a dynamic and visionary Head of Marketing and Content to take their brand storytelling to the next level.

What We’re Looking For:

  • Strategic Storyteller: You’re a pro at building and executing content strategies that drive engagement, boost brand growth, and achieve commercial success.
  • Expert Coordinator: Juggling a content team of designers, writers, freelancers, and agencies? No problem—you’ve got it handled.
  • Startup-Savvy Leader: The start-up ecosystem and the future of work excite you, and you know how to create content that speaks directly to founders, board members, and fractional executives.
  • HubSpot & SEO Knowledge: You have a strong grasp of content distribution via HubSpot and an understanding of content performance tracking, SEO fundamentals, and conversion strategies.
  • Brand Guardian: Collaborating with the CMO and agencies, you’ll protect and evolve their tone of voice and visual storytelling across all content.

What You’ll Do:

  • Own and execute the content strategy and calendar across all channels, including blog, social, email, video, and long-form resources.
  • Lead the creation of high-quality, high-impact content that establishes brand authority, drives inbound traffic, and fuels lead generation.
  • Manage and mentor a talented content team and freelancers, ensuring alignment with brand voice and priorities.
  • Partner with Product, Sales, and Customer Success teams to create content supporting product launches, campaigns, and lifecycle marketing.
  • Monitor key performance metrics (traffic, engagement, conversion) and adjust strategies with data-driven insights.
  • Amplify the brand presence through thought leadership, PR opportunities, and strategic partnerships.
  • You’ll play a pivotal role in shaping a brand that’s transforming the way start-ups connect and grow. This is your opportunity to flex your creative muscles, drive meaningful impact, and be part of a collaborative, forward-thinking team.
