Head of Music - Outstanding Brent School - September 2025

An exceptional secondary school in Brent is searching for a Head of Music to join their team on a permanent basis in September. Unlike most schools, you will have a solid department of four (including yourself) leading on high-quality Music teaching and learning across KS3-KS5. Additionally, you will work closely with the Head of Performing Arts (Drama) to collaborate on whole-school performances, expanding the impact you can make as Head of Music.

The Headteacher is eagerly looking for a Head of Music with a minimum three years teaching experience, as well as the ability to teach & play numerous instruments. You will benefit from state of the art music suites, attentive, well behaved pupils and a popular uptake of Music at both GCSE & A Level.

Candidate Specification - Head of Music

• Qualified Music Teacher with UK QTS
• Experience teaching in an inner city school beneficial
• Minimum three years experience teaching Music
• Previous TLR/responsibility not essential. Most importantly, you will be a strong teacher that can lead and model with outstanding practice
• Multiskilled musician
