About the Role:

• Lead and manage the Music department, providing strategic direction and inspiring a shared vision for musical excellence.


• Oversee the delivery of a high-quality Music curriculum across Key Stages 3, 4 and 5.


• Lead, motivate, and develop a team of talented music teachers.


• Oversee the organisation and delivery of a diverse program of extracurricular music activities.


• Foster a love of music in all students.


• Manage the department's budget and resources effectively.


• Build strong relationships with parents and the wider school community.


• Contribute to the school's strategic development and promote the value of music education.

Ideal Candidate:

• Holds QTS or equivalent.


• Possesses a degree in Music or a related field.


• Has a proven track record of successful leadership and management in a music education setting.


• Demonstrates a passion for music education.


• Has excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.


• Is confident in building rapport with students, staff, and parents.
